The hand behind it
Simran Sethia
Simran Sethia founded her Mumbai-based practice in 2021, after completing her degree in architecture in the United Kingdom and gaining years of professional experience in the field. Her design approach is shaped not only by her architectural background, but also by her lifelong connection with art.
From painting to ceramics, Simran has always worked closely with colour, form, texture, and the handmade. This artistic sensibility brings a distinct layer to her architecture, allowing her to create spaces that feel expressive and deeply personal.
At the heart of her practice is a strong understanding of the client. Simran believes that good design begins with listening: understanding how people live, what they are drawn to, and how they want to feel in a space. Her work is driven by the idea that a space must not only be beautiful, but must feel right for the person using it. For her, design is only successful when the client truly loves being in it.
